KEPASS Meeting in Trieste 27 November 2014

Student mobility: project kepass gives the floor to the students voice participating in the exchange programme (Trieste, 27 November 2014)

Trieste (Italy), 27 November 2014

On November 27th 2014, at the Hall Predonzani of the Palazzo della Regione in Trieste, the Regional Minister (Assessore) Prof. Loredana Panariti and the Central Director Dr. Ruggero Cortellino welcomed the delegation of 40 students who are participating in the mobility program within the project KEPASS. The meeting was attended by the following partners of the project: UWC Adriatic, the National Institute of Education of the Republic of Slovenia and Istria Region as well as tutors and students from the schools of Friuli venezia Giulia, Slovenia and Croatia, who are currently participating in the mobility programme.
After his welcome speech, dr. Ruggero Cortellino, introduced a group of students, who shared their experience during the months spent abroad.
The speeches from the students pointed out the impact that this experience had for all of them. Meeting new people, getting in contact with new cultures, experiencing new teaching methods, living in a new social environment gave them the opportunity to develop their skills both from a professional and from a personal point of view. The problems experienced in some cases during the first days of exchange were faced in a challenging and stimulating way and, after three months, all students were very grateful for this experience.
The same feedback came from the tutors who participated in the mobility programme. As stressed by some of them, the KEPASS project has given a great opportunity to more than 100 students, who have enriched their professional and social background.
All the participants will finish their trimester by the first half of December 2014. The students are accomplishing the last tasks before going back home. The bonds that have been created during these three months witness the importance of this kind of initiatives for the personal and professional development of youngsters. In the final stage of the KEPASS project, the partners will work in order to enable that similar initiatives can be carried out in the future.
