Istria Region (Croatia)

The Region of Istria is a unit of regional self-government in Croatia. The collaboration between the Department for Education and the Department for international cooperation and EU integration guarantees a highly professional approach and organization of all the project activities in the Istria Region. The institutional capacity and competence required by the project are fully satisfied. The staff of the Directorate for education is composed of experienced experts while its regional competence guarantees. The language skills of the Istrian staff (all fluent in Italian and Slavic languages) are certainly going to influence positively the project development.

The participation of Istria Region in numerous previous projects ensures all the necessary skills and competences required for the coordination and development of the project. The Department for education will use their network of external experts in order to achieve full implementation.

The Region of Istria will have an active role in the project and will organize the final Cross Border Adriatic Conference. Additionally it will be responsible for the development and coordination of the activities within the Istrian secondary schools. Their expertise will be an added value for the support to schools during the second stage of the accreditation process. Their activism in the field of European Project will be an added value for mainstreaming the project's results at EU Level.
